The land was announced over 3 years ago and was then followed up with official details almost two years ago at the D23 Expo.
It’s strange for us to think that the new land is opening with guests enjoying it everyday just because we’ve been waiting for so long. We were there from before opening day during a preview and on opening day. After many years of anticipation Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened on May 31st, 2019.
